Description:
"The Warmth Of Night" is a short observational film which follows the path of an unidentified protagonist walking through Manchester Central at night during the Christmas Season, with an emphasis on the Christmas Market. The goal of this film is to highlight the warmth and beauty the city after dark.
I chose to include a variety of different compositions in the cinematography to emphasise how important it is to look at life through different perspectives. Additionally, I chose to record all the footage hand held, without a tripod or gimble, to create a sense of rawness and humanity in each shot. The sound design has many layers, including background noise, foley, and instrumental, to create a textured atmosphere and immerse the viewer into the world created within this film.
This film was shot on a BlackMagic 6K Pro Cinema Camera and edited in DaVinci Resolve.

Description:
"Mindfield" is a short visual exploration of grief and how a person feels on the inside compared to how they present themself on the outside. In this short, someone receives some unexpected news which sends them into a mental space that feels overwhelming and inescapable, confronting their worst woes and troubles.
Sometimes the best thing we can do is to sit with the emotions and process the pain.
